This Privacy Policy explains what information the Selest Security Mobile Concierge app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how it is handled. By creating an account you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We only collect information you provide directly when using the app:

• Account details: your email address and a password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed (bcrypt) before storage.
• Account type: whether you register as a Guest or an Admin.
• Organization name (Admins only): the venue, business, or property you represent, which you enter when creating an admin account.
• Event membership: the events you join by scanning a QR code.
• Notification consent: a record that you agreed to receive notifications when you created your account.
• Concierge / security requests: the text of any request you submit through the app.

2. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your location.
• We do not use advertising or third-party tracking/analytics.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, or files. The camera is used only to scan event QR codes; scanned images are not stored or transmitted.

3. How we use your information

Your information is used solely to operate the service: to authenticate you, to deliver event-specific broadcast notifications to the events you have joined, and to route concierge/security requests. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

4. How your information is stored

Account and app data is stored in a secured database accessed over encrypted connections. Your login token is stored encrypted on your own device using the operating system's secure keychain.

5. Data retention

Broadcast notifications are retained for 30 days by default and then hidden, unless you archive them. Your account information is retained until your account is deleted. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact details below.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Within the app you can delete individual notifications permanently. To delete your account entirely, contact us using the details below.

7. Children

The app is intended for use by adults in a professional concierge/security context and is not directed at children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
